I have been using this Cuisinart toaster oven for about six months now. I am fond of baking and broiling. So I use it several times a week. I usually cook only for myself, so I don’t like having to waste more energy to heat up my big oven just for a single chicken breast or so. I prefer having this one.

The performance is great. It works well as I don’t find any hot spots on my heated item. It certainly heats evenly. I used this stuff to cook pizza, chicken, fish and even roasted vegetables. I also want to say that it gave a fine job of broiling bacon-wrapped scallops. I also like the way the rack was placed. You can flip them so that you can have various options for height.

It certainly has a great interior size, big enough to fit a large pan. But it is a bit bulky on the side. Its footprint is a bit larger as compared to my old toaster oven. This Cuisinart is a bit tall too. It might also need quite a space. In my case, I placed it on the corner of my kitchen, just below the cabinets. It fits perfectly and I can run into it whenever I need to.

Another thing, this oven toaster is also easy to clean due to the interior size and the easily removable crumb tray.

There’s just one minor design flaw that I notice. See the stainless trim located on the glass door just beneath the handle which wraps around to the inside of the door. This implies that it can be exposed to heat and eventually it heats up to the same temperature inside the oven. Now, if you are not careful and takes this thing unnoticed, you might get yourself hurt. There’s no problem with the handle because it cools down, but as to the trim, it doesn’t. I even have a burn on my hand now from roasting potatoes. You should use a good oven mitt or hot pad so that it covers the stainless trim strip.

As for me, this is not a flaw. I just find it inconvenient. You can prevent yourself from getting hurt by just being careful. So I’m rating this product with 4.5 stars, if I could though.

Over all, this toaster oven works perfectly. There is just a small engineering problem in the design.

This product is particularly designed to have wide openings so that it will be easier to toast bagels, english muffins, flat waffles or bread. It has a sliding cover that moves into place just by using a lever. When everything is in place, the heating elements in the upper portion will be reflected downward and the bottom elements will be reflected upwards. The interior is really spacious. It goes approximately 6 inches by 9 inches.


I think it is practical to use the right appliance for a certain job rather than having to use a large oven even for small jobs. I mean, it takes so much energy, before you know it you are spending more.

Then there is this small metal plate problem. That metal plate that slides across the bagel toaster opening is only a thin piece of metal and it does not have any kind of seals. If you carefully think about this, when you left it just closed, half of the heat could leak out from the oven.

But this is easy to fix. What I did was simply putting a seal or cover on it. Of course not with grout, putty or styrofoam. I just lay a regular sized pot holder over the opening to prevent the heat from leaking. This way, it will not delay the heating process. You can use any other material, as long as they are not combustible. You can try putting damp kitchen clothes or sponges. My pot holders are heavy duty so it can do the job well.

If you are not careful enough to attend to this problem, you might end up hating this product. Letting the heat leak out the system will affect your baking/broiling process. Not just that, it will eventually cost more energy consumption. So you better take my advice. I just hope the manufacturer will compensate this issue.

Other than that, this is a great product and indeed worth the purchase. This is my first toaster for nearly 50 years, and I know I bought this right for the job.

This Set and Forget had kept up with what was stated on the ads. I have been using this for a month now and it works pretty well as I expected.

It can do toasting, broiling and baking jobs really well. The settings for toasting are accurate which produces excellent toast. In baking, sure it also works well. But you have to take note always of the temperature. We all know that baking needs accurate temperature settings. You just have to keep in mind that the temperature settings are to be kept around 25 degrees, it’s somewhere around the lower rack position. I have not tried roasting a whole chicken, probably never will.


Baking pizza was a cinch, but it took quite longer than usual. Broiling also works fine. It’s just that the instruction didn’t mention about keeping the door in detent position. I also love the warm setting. It’s a nice feature. The exterior looked pretty cheesy. It makes me think it is made in China I also hope that the heating elements won’t get busted. I don’t want to experience the same thing with my old Delonghi. I strongly recommend that this should have interior lights!

This product is recommended. It really works well, honestly.

Come to think of it, I just bought this toaster as a replacement. Then I realized I should have bought this before. The cooking setting works accurately. If you need something that works accurate, then this toaster oven is perfect for you. I have used this several times for making brownies and carrot cakes. The toaster oven created perfect results. Another reason that I bought this product was its digital temperature probe. This one has also been accurate. If you have more money to spend for toaster oven, I highly recommend this model. I am sure it is all worth it.

When our former toaster oven, DeLonghi was slowly falling apart, I started on finding a replacement. The DeLonghi was slowly breaking, screw by screw. It feels like a clock that ticks to its final end. Then I came across this cheaper product and readily decided to give it a try. The first thing I noticed is that it only takes half the space that our DeLonghi used to.

I used this toaster oven in baking some delicious wild salmon on parchment paper, baking pan included. The resulting recipe tasted really great! Thanks to its accurate temperature settings. My experience with the DeLonghi pan was that it was often coated with a teflon-like substance. I have addressed this concern to the customer service but it was never acknowledged. Although the Waring pan is made of aluminum, I still used the parchment paper. In the meantime, I will be buying pyrex glass dishes that will fit into the toaster oven. So far, I am not disappointed with my purchase.
